“Creating this competition to give consumers the chance to win a trip on the Land Rover Experience Tour taking place in Peru this year, provides an opportunity for us to showcase the unique features of the new Land Rover Discovery and engage with adventure minded individuals at our Experience school locations,” Kim McCullough, Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC, Brand VP, said.

“We are excited to announce the first winner of the Land Rover Experience Tour Peru 2017. It will be a thrilling experience for John and we know he will enjoy all the capabilities of the new Discovery.”

Teams Gear Up for Invictus Games

Land Rover Frisco is so excited about the upcoming Invictus Games! The Invictus Games is an “international adaptive sporting event for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women” that Jaguar Land Rover is a key sponsor for! The very first Invictus Games were held in 2014 in London, United Kingdom. 17 nations will be competing in this year’s Games that will be held in Toronto, Canada in September.

Land Rover Frisco is excited that the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge will be the opening event of the Games! The team from the United Kingdom (where Jaguar Land Rover’s headquarters are) have been hard at work preparing. Only two members of the team will compete in the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge.

The team started the day working on their speed and precision in Jaguar F-PACEs in a slalom challenge at Cotswold Airport. Later in the day the team worked on their planning, teamwork, and communication skills while off-roading routes in Land Rover Discoverys near Eastnor Castle.

Land Rover ambassadors, Olympic Medallist, Zara Tindall, and England Rugby World Cup winner, Lewis Moody, were with the team to provide encouragement and insight as they prepared.

“The Invictus Games is a very special event, and I’ve loved meeting all the competitions here today,” Zara Tindall said. “It was really hard to select just two people to take part in the Driving Challenge in Toronto; each and every one of those we met has the will to win and would do a fantastic job. Once again, it’s an absolute honor for me to be involved with Jaguar Land Rover and with the Invictus Games and I am really looking forward to watching these guys when they actually get to compete at the Games.”

The 2017 Invictus Games will take place September 23 – 20. In addition to the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge, events include archery, cycling, golf, swimming, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, and more!

Land Rover Frisco is excited to cheer on the United States team as they compete!
