To Build or Not to Build, That is The Question…

We aren’t celebrating just yet at Land Rover Frisco in Frisco, Texas, but there are reported rumors that the Range Rover Evoque convertible has been given the green light for production.

The project had previously been ruled out and the Evoque convertible that debuted at the Geneva Auto Show last year was supposed to remain a concept vehicle, but according to some sources it has been granted the go ahead for a 2014 launch.

The convertible is based on the three-door version of the Evoque, and the soft-top will be electrically operated and will fold beneath the vehicle for a clean and sleek look.  It will offer up the same 240 horsepower, 2.0-liter engine and automatic transmission as the coupe.

Stay tuned for more information regarding the release of the Evoque convertible, and in the meantime, let us all keep our fingers crossed!
