Land Rover Frisco would like to take a moment to introduce the all new and extremely impressive justDrive Connectivity Suite; the new addition to the InControl system that is sure to impress and keep you and your travel companions thoroughly entertained.
Customers of premium brands naturally have a demand for the latest in infotainment and connectivity, which is why Jaguar Land Rover has teamed up with California’s CloudCar to develop the justDrive system.
This awesome new feature combines popular apps and services such as Spotify, Twitter and Yelp, to give Land Rover drivers an unparalleled level of integration with navigation, media, social interaction, voice search and information services while minimizing driver distraction.
justDrive uses an advanced plain speech recognition package so customers can communicate naturally with their car, rather than using simple syntax commands. The app requires drivers to be connected to Bluetooth and can relay voice commands, as well as facilitate calls to contacts. It will also be able to give the driver information such as weather reports, traffic information and the latest news.
Dr. Wolfgang Epple, Director of Research and Technology at Jaguar Land Rover, said: “Our InControl system already allows the driver to plug their smartphone into the vehicle and then safely control their apps through the vehicle’s touchscreen. The apps are enhanced for in-car use, so it is like having your smartphone installed in your dashboard.”
JLR also announced the opening of its first-ever overseas Research and Development facility in Portland, Oregon. The Open Software Technology Center will focus on developing advanced infotainment such as justDrive, as well as other connectivity solutions for future Land Rover models.
