Well it looks like the spectators at the New York International Auto Show next week will be in for quite a treat, as Land Rover is set to unveil the stunning new Range Rover Sport HST!
The HST enhances the high performance Range Rover Sport driving experience thanks to its upgraded 380 horsepower 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine, unique chassis settings and enhanced design features.
A sleek and sexy black theme will be the trademark of the exterior design. The HST is fitted with Stealth Pack lamps front and rear, which feature non-reflective surrounds and combine with a Santorini Black contrast roof and spoiler.
Handsomely unique 21-inch alloy wheels will feature an exclusive dark satin grey finish helping to highlight the upgraded brakes which are identified by red brake calipers. Larger 22-inch Stealth alloy wheels are also available as an option.
The bonnet and front wing vents, grille and fog lamp bezels all feature a Gloss Black finish, echoed by the ‘Range Rover’ lettering on the leading edge of the bonnet and rear tailgate. Sculpted body-colored lower door panels and additional vent detailing on the bumpers are also fitted.
The interior of the HST is fitted with gorgeous duo tone seats trimmed in opulent Oxford Leather and is available in four Ebony/color combinations, along with an all-Ebony option.
David Mitchell, Vehicle Program Director Range Rover Sport, said: “The HST extends our Range Rover Sport line-up giving customers even greater choice. Sitting between the existing 340 HP Range Rover Sport 3.0-litre V6 supercharged and the 550 HP supercharged variant, it delivers enhanced V6 performance to go with Range Rover Sport’s renowned comfort and refinement.”
The 2016 Range Rover Sport HST will be available to order from April with deliveries taking place in late summer, so if you want to be the first kid on your block to turn your neighbor’s heads then call or stop by Land Rover Frisco and we can get the paperwork rolling!
The Aston Martin has long been a crowd favorite in the 007 films in the past, but for Bond’s next adventure, “Spectre,” Jaguar Land Rover will be supplying a Range Rover Sport SVR, Jaguar C-X75 and Defender Big Foot for his escapades in the 24th installment of the infamous franchise.
The C-X75 will be featured in a stunning car chase scene through Rome with the gorgeous Aston Martin DB10. The movie concepts, originally constructed for the 2010 Paris auto show, were built in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering in Oxfordshire, England and are sure to be an eye pleaser on the big screen.
Debuting last August, The SVR is Land Rover’s fastest and most powerful Rover ever produced and puts out 550 horsepower from its 5.0-liter V8 while reaching a top speed of 162 mph. This fully enhanced Range Rover is merely the first wave amongst a small tsunami of new high performance Land Rovers that will appear over the next few years.
The Defender Big Foot was built around 2010 as a supplemental vehicle to add excitement to the brand’s auto show stands. The car was built by Land Rover Special Vehicles and features 37-inch rims with 395/70 Mickey Thompson tires, a selection of diesel engines and a four-range transmission case.
Jaguar and Land Rover are back in the Bond films after a small break; most recently a Defender 110 Double Cab Pickup was driven by Moneypenny in the opening sequence of “Skyfall.”
“Spectre” is scheduled to hit theaters on November 6th and features Daniel Craig once again as James Bond, Ralph Fiennes as M and Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny.
All of us at Land Rover Frisco can’t wait to set our eyes upon these spectacular new vehicles, and you shouldn’t wait to get your hands on a Land Rover so come see us and soon you will be driving away in the luxury SUV of your dreams!
